Reception

As well as being welcoming, a reception should also explain to guests where they are. When guests come to our office in Stockholm, they find a green, slightly curved wall, behind a white slightly curved reception desk that leads them naturally into the foyer.

Our logo is on the wall, while the ceiling is made of wooden beams in a beehive design.

Inspiration - reception

Although we are extremely happy with our head office, it is good to regularly broaden our horizons. There are many inspirational examples from around the world that can generate ideas that we can develop and test. Here are some inspirational pictures from different receptions.

Inspiration: We can create effective dynamics in a room by combining the outside with the inside, natural with modern, and strict with playful. NOTE! All pictures are for inspiration and are not represented in Lantmännen.

Meeting places

Small details can say a lot. In this example we show you how we communicate our brand in the foyer at our head office. The idea behind this foyer is to create an overall design that breathes and exudes Lantmännen.

The grey floor symbolises our industry. If you look up at the ceiling, you can see ventilation pipes and cables, which are visible for the same reason.  There is a carpet the runs around the room, which takes the visitor to our owners’ work environment, and we also want to portray an outdoor feel inside the walls. The furniture is in natural colours to match our identity. When we choose materials for our furniture we also try to portray a natural and refined feel.

We can use small details to explain who we are without being too obvious. Next time you visit our head office and go up the stairs in the foyer, imagine that you are walking into our sprout.

Stair with a message. Here you are welcomed in the sprout of Lantmännen.

Like a red cottage in the countryside, the shop is located in the middle of the foyer. A natural meeting place with a clear Lantmännen feeling.

Meeting places in natural colors. Clean, simple and with materials that match well with the rest of the interior.

Conference rooms

The areas where we meet our contacts and partners represent an important part of our offices. And our conference/meeting rooms are perhaps the most important of all.

As with the rest of the building, we have given a great deal of thought to everything from the names of the room to the colour of the carpets. For example, the colours we have chosen for the carpets in our conference rooms reflect the changes in season out in the fields.

The materials and the design of our chairs and tables are natural and refined to fit with the overall feel of the head office. These are small discrete details that can play a major role in conveying our brand and our origins.

Corridors

People say that the destination is only a small part of the journey. And this is often the case. We want to give our visitors an experience, whether they are in the conference room or on the way there. We create an overall feel using colours and materials. Corridors and passageways are also a good environment to add more messages to communicate our brand, origins and values. Remember that lighting can have a major impact.

Workplaces

We have put a lot of thought into the design of our workplaces. We always try to adopt a refined and natural approach and this includes the places where we spend most of our time. The overall impression is important, and although it is tempting to let loose on a design, our starting point is always to have something natural and refined.

Decorative elements

The countryside carpet in the foyer is a clear decorative element. The ceiling in our reception is another. The silhouette on the glass door is a third.

What our decorative elements have in common is that they convey our brand and our identity in a way that mirrors our core values. Sometimes we can deviate from our guidelines, but only if there is a good reason to do so and if it is clearly linked to our brand.
